Melissa "Missy" Arnold ...

...lives in Shillington with her husband, Steve, one
very cute daughter named Brie, and 9 pets of all
sorts. They have 2 rats, Ren, a Siamese colored
dumbo eared, and Stimpy, a black and white Rex
mix. There are 2 rabbits in residence. Peanut is a
Holland lop and Opee is a broken opal standard
Rex. They also have Tiny, a bearded dragon; Tom, a
degu; and 2 dogs, Rumble, the mutt, and Zest, a
papillion. Blaze, the horse, and a 72 gallon bow
front fish tank complete the pack. Missy attended
Governor Mifflin High School (the class of 94). After
high school, she went to James Dog Grooming
School in Ephrata. She worked at Pet Max for 3
years and apprenticed under Mr. Rodney Herner in
the grooming room. In 2001, she joined the Tails A'
Waggin' team.

"I enjoy my job very much. There is no greater feeling in a job than knowing that your
customer is happy and satisfied with the haircut you have given their pet family
member. Grooming kinda still lets me be a kid.I may not get out paint or draw
anymore like in art class, but grooming is a form of art that will always be around."
Missy attends numerous grooming seminars, and is beginning to compete in
grooming competitions. Missy is also working towards a master groomer
certification, which will take 2-5 years to complete.
